A Different Kind Winter Creep

Meet The Lausks

This is a winter spirit from Lativia, not specifically associated with Christmas, but with pre-Christian mythology.  As far as things they do that are creepy, they are tame, compared, to say, Krampus.  Basically they are cheek pincher's, nose squeezers, and ear grabbers--basically they are the reason for cold, red faces in deep winter.  Probably the naughtiest thing that they do is go around and "check" for structural integrity of any building you may own during the winter by whacking them with an axe they carry, which can cause serious cracks in walls.  And they are thorough too, hacking at walls, roofs and corners of rooms.

Happy Creepmas Everyone!

    1. Yes! He's a bit picky. Damn my doors start sticking in colder months--and it's 70 degrees here! Think he might be doing the climate change thing! Good to hear from your this time of year.
